My go to grocery store for fast friendly service and clean facility and staff. Great food and prices. A must try.

The ribs tips and fried chicken was great. Didn't take long at all. Not much seating there, better to take it to go. Staff not very friendly

I give this place a five star because of the five star quality food they offer. Very fresh and clean.

Always a great time here. Food is amazing. Comes out piping hot and tasting amazing. Everytime my friends come in town this place is a staple for late night chicken stop.

Great place for chicken !!! If you’re familiar with Harold’s Chicken various locations throughout the city and suburbs as well as enjoy their chicken.....you’ll probably enjoy Chicken Shack !!! I’ve eaten here several times and each time the service was good and the food was good and fresh! Sorry for the pick....the order is 4wings with hot sauce. Next time I go there I’ll add a better pic of the chicken.

The glowing reviews here are a little surprising. The chicken is good. The sides are truly bad. Really bad. I swear the red beans and rice is rice with ranch style beans on top. Absolutely do not waste your money on any of the sides here.

Amazing food! The BEST fried chicken, fried fish, and fried chicken livers!! Friendly service and reasonable prices. There are a few tables for dining in as well as a parking lot for pick-up orders. Portions are generous...in fact, too many fries with each dinner. The biscuits are rich and buttery. There is a reason why this business has been in the area for 29 years! Go! Eat! Enjoy! 😁👍🏼

The prices online are different from the actual price they charge you. Which is much more.Ask them about the price difference they said they didn't have time to change them. The food arrived in less than 20 minutes so that means it wasn't fresh and there was no menu to my food with with

Delicious..oh and I also forget to mention that it's really delicious. The perch dinner is amazing. Not sure how Chicken Shack was able to harness all that tasty in a small box of yummy, but they got my vote.

I have been eating there for over thirty years and the food is still awesome. I stop in every time I am back in Evanston. They are also open late which is a huge plus.

Really tasty, freshly cooked fried chicken. Big portions of chicken and super juicy! The sauces are amazing. -1 star for the fries; i think they are just frozen fries, nothing special. Some chicken salt on the fries would also be great. Overall, a homely vibe and easily the best fried chicken in Evanston!

As a southern gal, I was blown away by this chicken. It was absolutely delicious. Reminded me of home. The French fries were on on point. The honey BBQ sauce is delicious. Certainly worth a go!

Chicken bits are bomb.com. The ladies that work there are so friendly. Lovely local business. You've got to indulge.

They have changed the people who worked there and the sauces they use to have. It just doesn't taste the same. Service is not the same as well.

This is a no nonsense, no frills chicken place; the name is perfect. They serve more than just chicken, but the chickenis where they shine. Not the friendliest of staff, but not rude either.

Very good never fails. Update. Went today 7/13/2020 and ordered catfish with honey bbq on it. Got all the way home and realized that they gave me two little half ounce sides of sauce. I live in Zion IL next time I should make sure. But never had a problem until now. And I had five pieces of fish and fries no way that amount of Duce could even handle the fries. I just ordered the sauce they use off amazon. No mistakes at home.

Despite the bad reviews I decided to try it. Food was okay not the worst but not the best. But I must say that the staff was very helpful. The 3 young ladies were very patient and informative about the menu. Will definitely be back

Bare bones chicken shack where there is just great fried food. If you are in the area and in the mood for something fried. It's a place you must try.

The Jamaican jerk chicken is absolutely to die for. Every time I go here, it is a pleasant experience.

Chicken Is Not Bad! Credit Card Purchase Over $10 Only, Very Inconvenient In 2019. Employees Are Fast & Efficient Though, I Would Strongly Suggest You Call And Place Your Order In Advance For Pick Up Since The Order In Made Fresh.

The chicken was nice and hot, the biscuit was average and the mashed and gravy not so good.

There is often a wait, even if you order by phone. The chicken is great. The sides are ok.

Whoever answered phone thought I said catfish when I placed my order. I actually said cod fish and I did not discover mistake until I got home. I called the restaurant and explained what happened. Woman who answered was very friendly about it and asked me to bring back the catfish and said that she would fulfill my order with what I wanted. Looking back I should have made myself more clear when I placed order. But this restaurant definitely won lots of points with me for being so good about what happened. PS......
